With a career spanning over seven decades, Lata Mangeshkar has recorded thousands of songs and is revered for her contributions to the Indian music industry. She has received numerous awards and honors for her work, including the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award.Mangeshkar died on February 6, 2022, at the age of 92, from multiple organ dysfunction syndromes. 4. Sandhya Mukherjee

Geetashree Sandhya Mukherjee was a Bengali-language playback vocalist and guitarist from India. In 1970, she was awarded the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for her performances in the films Jay Jayanti and Nishi Padma. Sandhya Mukherjee was taken to SSKM Hospital with breathlessness on January 27 and later transferred to Apollo Gleneagles Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19. She also suffered infections in her lungs, hypotension, ischemic heart disease, multi-organ failure, and a left femur fracture. She was improving with her treatment, becoming COVID-19 negative, and having successful femoral surgery on February 11th. She went into cardiac arrest in the morning of February 15 and died at 7.30 p.m. that same day.

5. Krishnakumar Kunnat

KK, or Krishnakumar Kunnath, was a prominent Indian playback singer. He sang in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese and Gujarati, among other languages. KK started his career singing commercial jingles and A.R. Debut in a film with. Rahman Score. Pal, their debut album, was released in 1999. KK gave a live concert on May 31, 2022 at the Nazrul Manch Auditorium in South Kolkata as part of the Gurudas College festival. On the way back to his hotel after his performance, he complained of feeling unwell and had a heart attack. He fainted, and efforts to revive him at the hotel were in vain. He was taken to the Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) after 10.30 pm, where he was declared brought dead.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moose Wala or Sidhu Moosewala, was an Indian musician, rapper, songwriter, and actor best known for his work in Punjabi music and cinema. Sidhu is widely considered one of the most influential Punjabi performers of his time. Furthermore, he is credited for paving the way for Punjabi singers to break into mainstream music. He began his career as a songwriter for Ninja’s song “License,” and then moved on to singing in a duet called “G Wagon.” On May 29, 2022, unidentified assailants shot and killed Moose Wala in his automobile in Jawaharke village, Mansa district.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, 5 July 1960-14 August 2022 was an Indian billionaire businessman, Chartered Accountant, stock trader, and investor.  In 1986, he made his first sizable profit after starting investing in 1985 with a capital of 5,000, and His estimated net worth at the time of his passing was $5.8 billion, ranking him as the 438th richest person in the world. His own asset management company, Rare Enterprises, counted him as a partner. He was a director and chairperson for several companies in addition to being an active investor. Akasa Air was also founded by him. 

8. Bappi Aparesh Lahiri

Bappi Aparesh Lahiri, better known by his stage name Bappi Da, was an Indian singer, composer, and record producer. He popularised synthesised disco music in the Indian music industry, as well as singing some of his own songs. His filmi soundtracks made him famous in the 1980s and 1990s. He also had big box office hits in Bengali, Telugu, and Kannada movies. His songs remained popular well into the twenty-first century. Bappi Lahiri died on February 15, 2022, in Mumbai, of obstructive sleep apnea at the age of 69.

9. Siddhaanth Vir Surryavanshi

Known for his roles in Mamta and Kasautii Zindagii kay, Sidhhaant Vir Surryavanshi was a popular Indian television actor. Like Raju Shrivastav, he too suffered a possible cardiac arrest on 11th November of this year while working out and passed away at the young age of 46

10. Tatineni Rama Rao

Tatineni Rama Rao was an Indian filmmaker who lived from 1938 to April 20, 2022. Between 1966 and 2000, he directed 75 Hindi and Telugu feature films. Rao began his cinema career as an assistant director for his cousin T. Prakash Rao and Kotayya Pratyagatma in the late 1950s, before making his directorial debut with the Telugu film Navarathri in 1966. Rao was “the man who created the ‘Madras cinema,’ or Hindi films backed primarily by southern wealth, as a viable commercial choice in the all-India market,” according to Encyclopaedia Britannica. Tatineni Rama Rao, a veteran Telugu cinema director, died in the early hours of April 20, 2022, at a private hospital in Chennai. He was 84 years old when he died.
